our choice of blend for scotland

We were asked to create a blend suitable for Scottish water.

So we took tea from Kangaita factory situated on the southern slopes of Mount Kenya is well known for its flavoury teas of the best Kenyan quality. The tea is grown by smallholders. The leaf is hand plucked and carefully manufactured to produce the well-rounded taste and bright appearance which is a characteristic of Kenyan teas

This Kenyan tea is blended with tea from the Muttuck estate in Assam. This tea is plucked at the peak of the second flush period when the very best Assam quality can be found.

The Great Taste Award judges awarded it 1 star, commenting that there is "good maltiness and robust flavour".

Ingredients: black tea

scottish blend leaf tea bags are now packed in sustainably sourced packaging. The tea bag material & inner pouches are made from plant starch & wood pulp, which are biodegradable & plastic free. Where possible, please dispose of these in your local food waste collection.  Our packets are printed with vegetable-based inks on sustainably sourced cardboard which can be recycled or added to your home compost bin.

For the perfect cup of tea use pour on freshly boiled water and brew for 3-5 mins. Best drunk with milk or your plant-based alternative.
